Estimate acceptance

Acceptance of a Clear Comms quote (either written or verbal) shall be deemed to show acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

Completion dates

Clear Comms will provide a timescale for completion. This may incorporate a date of delivery of first draft copy, and include ‘windows’ of time for client comments and feedback. All dates will be based on the assumption that any information or interviews we have requested are provided by a stipulated date. If not, we reserve the right to revise the completion date.

Revisions and approval process

Two sets of revisions may be undertaken as part of the agreed project fee. Thereafter any further revisions will be charged at the rate of £40 per hour.

If requests for amendments are not received within ten working days of receipt of first or second draft text, we will invoice for any outstanding fees.

If your requirements for copy style, tone or objectives change once the copy has been submitted, we will agree a revised project fee with you, taking into account the work that has already been completed.

Payment terms

For projects of £250 or less, full payment is due prior to commencement. For projects greater than £250, £25% of the project fee is due prior to commencement in order to secure your booking. The balance is due on completion.

Payment will be requested by invoice. This will be issued following delivery of all the copy in final draft form, or after a period of ten working days following delivery of final draft copy, if formal sign-off has not been given. Payment should be made within 30 days of date of invoice.

Late payment

If invoices remain unpaid after 60 days, we reserve the right to charge interest at 3% above the HSBC interest rate at the date of the invoice.

Intellectual property

Any intellectual property rights including drafts, plans, samples and documents remain the property of Clear Comms until full payment has been received. Unless otherwise agreed, any reproduction or distribution to a third party may only be made when full payment has been received.

In the event that we are required to revise any existing material, we will require assurances that this has been agreed by the copyright holder.

Once the project has been completed and paid in full, Clear Comms may publish extracts of the work or link to it as part of our portfolio.


We are happy to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to commencing any new project.

Any information received or gathered as part of the fact-finding or writing process will be kept confidential.


All work will be carried out with appropriate skill and care, and in accordance with recognised standards and codes of practice. However Clear Comms will not be liable under any circumstances to the customer or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss of profit, consequential or other economic loss suffered by the customer, howsoever caused.
